Description
We've got a very fun Truffle & Oyster Farm Dinner planned at the oyster farm on Sunday March 5th, from about 5 to 8 pm. The dinner will include special guests Seattle Truffle Company and Rowan Jacbosen.
Rowan, in case you don't know, is an award winning author who writes beautifully about oysters. His curiosity isn't limited to bivalves, however, and his most recent book, Truffle Hound, takes you on a tour of the world's truffle community. We should have some books for sale in our farm store by next month, but feel free to pick up a copy to read before the dinner.
Seattle Truffle Company, run by a character named Mike Davis, offers truffle hunts and sells a truffle+cbd concoction. Mike will be on hand to tell us more about his business and describe the local truffle hunting scene. He may even have a dog on site to sniff around a bit - stay tuned.
Tickets are $200 per person, including drink pairings. We'll serve the meal under our big tent at the oyster farm, with twinkly lights and propane heat, and bonfires to stand around before and after. Our Food & Beverage Director Dillon Pennell will prepare 5 courses showcasing both truffles and oysters. Dillon, who has been with us for about a year, has spent most of his career working in fine dining up and down the West Coast and is excited to have the chance to venture outside our normal saloon menu for this dinner.
