Description
Bee-lieve it or not, Spell-E-Bration is almost here! It’s that time of year! Sound Learning is gearing up for this year’s Annual Spell-E-Bration, a community spelling bee, silent auction, and our annual fundraiser. You can “Catch the Buzz” the 3rd Saturday of May at the Mason County Senior Activity Center, 190 W. Sentry Dr., Shelton. The event will be from 4 – 8 pm. The proceeds from this event support Sound Learning’s adult education programs that help individuals complete their high school diploma, brush up on their skills, or improve their English language abilities. At the Spell-E-Bration teams compete to win the coveted Top Spelling Champs award. The competition is always fun for the participants, judges, and the audience. Teams create a theme for themselves and some dress to impress in costumes. In addition to the bee we have a silent auction, balloon pop for prizes, and dessert/appetizer buffet. The event is free and open to the public. There are several ways to participate in this exciting and fun-filled event, and support essential educational opportunities for members of our community: ? Become a sustaining sponsor with a significant contribution of $2,500 - $5,000. ? Become a major sponsor with a generous donation of $1,000 - $2,500. ? Become a team sponsor by donating the full registration fee of $500. You can provide your own team or we can match you with a team of spellers. ? Make a tax-deductible cash donation, every amount helps! ? Donate an in-kind item for the silent auction. ? Donate to our dessert/appetizer bar. ? Volunteer to help with planning, set-up, or during the event. ? All monetary/in-kind donations are tax-deductible. Fed Tax ID: 91-1518739 Sound Learning is a community-based nonprofit that provides accessible, quality adult education programs in reading, writing, math, GED® preparation, High School Plus, basic computer skills and English for Speakers of Other Languages. Trained volunteers provide support through one-to-one and small group options. Donors will receive recognition in our event program, on our website and Facebook page, and in our post-event “thank you” in the newspaper. Major Sponsors will have their name and logo prominently displayed at the event and on our website. In addition, Sustaining Sponsors will have their name and logo included in event advertising and acknowledgements. Together we can create quality educational opportunities that result in strong families, a vibrant community, and prosperous local economy. Thank you for your consideration and support.
