Description
Shelton Yacht Club hosts Hammer the Inlet, a 16-mile paddling and rowing race in swift tidal current, on Hammersley Inlet in South Puget Sound. Called the 'Hammersely Shuffle' or 'Shuttle' paddlers love this run. Negotiate possible eddy lines at Skookum, Libby and Cape Horn. Take the nearly 2 knot ebb out from Shelton and ride it back up the winding picturesque inlet.
10% of proceeds donated to the South Puget Sound Salmon Enhancement Group (SPSSEG). Support the Yacht Club with their 'I Survived Hammersley Inlet' T-shirts for $15 at the event. Bring cash or check.
We’ll have parking and restrooms at the Shelton Yacht Club plus a boat ramp for all craft.
