Description
The board invites community members to attend and make public comments in person and/or by phone as conditions allow. Our public comment procedure allows each person 3 minutes to speak and comments will be heard during the two Community Comment periods as listed on the agenda.
Call (253) 215-8782 and enter meeting the ID # (listed in the board agenda and district calendar) during the community comment time. Please make sure your phone is on mute by pressing *6 until it is time to speak. Press *9 to raise your hand if you wish to speak. When called upon, you can unmute yourself by pressing *6 again. Please state your name before speaking.
In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, the board is not allowed to discuss items that are not on the agenda. The board may direct the superintendent to follow up on certain items that arise during public comment, if appropriate. As with in person meetings, public comments received in writing or by email will not be read aloud but will be directed for follow up where appropriate. Please be mindful of how you present your testimony as the board will not allow complaints against an individual staff member or student in open session (unless that individual has requested an open public hearing).
