Ribbon Cutting for Transit-Community ...
Description
You are invited to celebrate the newly completed renovations at Mason Transit Authority 's Transit-Community Center parking lot Plaza.
MTA partnered with City of Shelton and Mason Conservation District to seek funding from the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Stormwater Financial Assistance Program, in order to reduce impacts from existing infrastructure and development and enhance existing stormwater programs. The project expanded to include cleanup of contaminated soils in tandem with the construction. More than $250,000 was granted to retrofit the parking lot on the north side of 6th & Railroad, just south of the Mason Transit-Community Center.
DUE TO PUBLIC SAFETY GUIDELINES and health concerns, this ribbon cutting will look slightly different than those in the past. We have implemented additional precautions to ensure safety of those in attendance. Here is what you can expect:
• The ribbon cutting will take place outside to allow adequate social distancing.
• All guests will be asked to stand behind the presenters and follow social distancing guidelines.
• In compliance with current state rules, outdoors all guests must wear a face covering if within 6 feet of physical distance of others.
• Those with a temperature of 100.4 or experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19 such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, should stay home and contact a healthcare provider.
